About the band...

The Plain Dirty Blues Band is based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Band members include Jason Furness (bass), Simon Moore (kit) and Doug Burton (guitar and vocals). Together we have over 30 years experience on the music scene.

Most recently, the Plain Dirty Blues have been nominated for the 2011 Music PEI awards (blues recording of the year), and are showcasing at the 2011 East Coast Music Awards

Our sound can best be described as high energy electric blues, with a little rock and roll thrown in. We range from blues classics by the likes of Howlin Wolf and Muddy Waters to the more recent sounds of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy and Clapton to name a few. We also focus on writing original material, which can be heard on our debut album "Five Dollar Cover".
